TRANSFER: Arsenal bids for Alexis Sanchez
The London Evening Standard says Liverpool have been in talks with Barcelona over the £80m sale of Luis Suarez and want Sanchez to move the other way as part of the deal.
But Sanchez prefers a switch to the capital and Arsenal are believed to have already made him an offer worth £135,000-a-week.
They have bid only £22m for the 25-year-old, who scored two goals at the World Cup,
but Barcelona are holding out for £30m.
