TRANSFER: Gonzalo Higuain goes nowhere - Benitez

Napoli reveal striker Gonzalo Higuain has a €100m release clause

Gonzalo Higuain: €100m release clause
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed Gonzalo Higuain has a €100m release clause but the club have no intention inof selling him.
The Argentina striker joined the Serie A side from Real Madrid last summer and helped Rafa Benitez’s team finish third in the Italian top-flight.
The 26-year-old, who almost completed a move to Arsenal last season before signing for Napoli for a club record £34.5million, still has four years remaining on his contract.
While he has been in the spotlight in Brazil after helping Argentina reach Sunday’s World Cup final, Higuain himself says he is happy at Napoli and De Laurentiis insists the striker, who has been linked to Barcelona, is going nowhere unless potential suitors stump up €100m (£79.5m).
The Napoli president told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'd say that Higuain is not to be taken. He's ours and we keep him. Also because in his contract there is a release clause of €100m."
He added: "He's our pride, he's in the World Cup final and he will score against Germany.
"In the Argentina team there are three Napoli players; at the beginning of the World Cup, in all teams there were 16.
"I say to supporters: what more do you want?"
