TRANSFER MARKET: Arsenal identifies a prolific winger
Christos Tzolis is a highly rated 24-year-old Greek professional footballer who plays as a winger for Belgian Pro League club, Club Brugge, and the Greece National Team. He is known for his blistering pace and prolific goal-scoring. He has drawn heavy transfer interest from many Clubs including Premier League side, Arsenal.
He was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Tzolis started his career in PAOK academy at Thessaloniki before breaking into the senior squad as one of Europe's most exciting teenage prospects. He later joined English side Norwich City in 2021, but struggled to establish himself in the Premier League and had limited goal-scoring success.
During his time in England, Tzolis completely revitalized his career at Fortuna Düsseldorf. He joined the German second-tier club on loan (which became permanent), where he exploded onto the scene by scoring 22 goals in just 30 league matches.
He moved to Belgium and joined Club Brugge where he quickly became the team's talisman, tallying over 40 goals and 45 assists across multiple campaigns; including a 17-goal, 20+ assist domestic season that secured his reputation as a top-tier winger.
Tzolis primarily plays on the left wing to cut inside onto his favored right foot, though he is highly versatile and can operate as a right winger or central striker. Because of his direct attacking style, high goal contributions, and work rate, he has been compared by analysts to players like Alexis Sánchez.
