Anfield side take interest in Bayer
Leverkusen teenager.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was in the
stands last night taking a personal scouting
mission as he ran the rule over Bayer
Leverkusen teenager Julian Brandt according
to the Daily Mirror .
Rodgers watched as the youngster put in a
solid display, scoring a goal, and is said to
be readying a summer bid for the 17 year
old.
The attacking midfielder, who is most
commonly used in a wide role, is considered
one of the hottest prospects in German
football and could possibly be tempted by a
move to the Merseyside club.
Brendan Rodgers is well known for his
willingness to trust to youth and may feel the
need to strengthen his options in the final
third.
There is every chance that the Liverpool
manager would look to offload both Fabio
Borini and Iago Aspas and Rodgers is
unlikely to make a move for loaned in wide-
man Victor Moses after a rather average
series of displays from the Nigerian
international.
