Manchester United have won the race
Manchester United have won the race for
Southampton's sought-after teenager Luke
Shaw, according to TWO United fanzines.
Luke Shaw set for £85k p/w OT move?
United We Stand and Red Issue - who are
both fairly reliable and have sources close to
the club - claim United have agreed a £27m
deal for 18-year-old Shaw, who will earn
£85,000-a-week at Old Trafford and replace
32-year-old Patrice Evra, who is out of
contract in the summer.
Shaw made his England debut last month
and has been a regular for Saints at left back
since their return to the top flight.
He has been frequently linked to United by
credible sources such as the Mirror.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal
and Real Madrid are also thought to be
tracking the youngster but, if true, this will be
a major coup for under-fire Red Devils boss
David Moyes, who failed to land a number of
his top targets last summer, including Cesc
Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara.
