EPL: Man United to drop many in the summer

Veterans Rio Ferdinand , Patrice Evra ,
Nemanja Vidic and interim boss Ryan Giggs
are set to end their Man United playing
careers as incoming boss Louis van Gaal
looks to bring in fresh blood.
Wingers Nani and Ashley Young have
steadfastly failed to deliver the goods over
the past couple of campaigns and will be
looking for new clubs.
Darren Fletcher has looked a shadow of his
former self since returning from illness and
fellow midfielder Tom Cleverley has, rightly
or wrongly, become something of a
scapegoat for the shocking campaign David
Moyes presided over and both are apparently
likely to be offloaded.
Japanese international Shinji Kagawa hasn't
come close to the form that made him a
much sought after talent at Borussia
Dortmund and a move back to the Bundesliga
is likely.
Back-up striker Danny Welbeck and Javier
Hernandez are seemingly surplus to
requirements as is Dutch left-back Alexander
Buttner.
Man United are also looking to sell Marouane
Fellaini and will hope to recoup the lion's
share of the £27.5m the club invested in the
Belgian last summer.
