Barcelona are chasing Newcastle United
goalkeeper Tim Krul.
The Mirror says the Spanish giants were
already on the lookout for a new No.1 with
Victor Valdes on his way out of the Nou
Camp this summer.
But back-up stopper Jose Pinto’s decision
to follow Valdes’ lead by rejecting a new deal
means Barca are now on the lookout for two
top-class goalkeepers.
Juventus are eyeing Krul, and now Barca
have joined them in looking at the Dutch
keeper.
The Catalan club remain confident that their
transfer ban – imposed because they had
breached rules on the transfers of players
aged under 18 – will at the very least be put
on hold while an appeal is made.
