The Nigerian defender is nursing a calf
injury and will not play in this
weekend's game against the Red
Devils who are now under the tutelage
of Ryan Giggs
Defender Joseph Yobo will not be part of
Norwich City's trip to Manchester United on
Saturday due to calf injury.
The 33-year-old will miss his side's game to
challenge the Red Devils in their first match
under new interim manager Ryan Giggs.
“Joseph is still having treatment on his calf
but we are hopeful of getting him back in on
Monday. He still has a problem and he won’t
be ready for this weekend,” said Norwich
manager Neil Adams.
The Super Eagles captain is expected to
return to full fitness for their game against
Chelsea on May 4 at Stamford Bridge.
Yobo will be eager to show the national team
coaches he is fit enough to be part of the
Nigeria squad to the World Cup in June.
He has made eight appearances for the
Canaries since his January loan move from
Fenerbahce.
