EPL:Joey Barton has hit out at Manchester United players

Joey Barton has hit out at
Manchester United senior players,
claiming that it appears that
sacked manager David Moyes
was "back-doored".
Moyes was sacked as Man United manager
on Tuesday following heavy reports on
Monday that the Scot's time at Old Trafford
was coming to an end and veteran Ryan
Giggs, who was appointed to the coaching
staff this season, has been made interim
manager until the end of the season.
There had been suggestions that Moyes had
lost the backing of a number of senior
players following a disastrous season in
charge at Old Trafford, after taking over from
Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer.
Giggs in his first press conference as interim
manager spoke about bringing positivity
back to the club in what Barton believes
gives an insight into the feelings behind the
scenes at Old Trafford.
Barton believes the senior players were the
reason behind Moyes' sacking at Man
United, but added that it is “surprisingly
common”.
He wrote on his Twitter account: “Seems
Moyes has been 'back-doored' by senior
players. Surprisingly common in football
when a manager loses the faith of the
dressing room.”
